AA Motorcycles
One of my earliest memories is, on long summer evenings, walking to the end of the village to meet my dad returning from work on his AA motorcycle and sidecar, known as a Road Service Outfit(RSO). I knew he would let me ride home sitting on the big yellow tank.
Later in life the AA asked him to restore a RSO and this is now displayed in the Glasgow Museum of Transport.
He then bought one for himself which he was in the process of restoring when he was diagosed with a terminal illness.
This bike has now gone to a good home. It is back on the road, with a repainted tank and is ridden often. It is great to see it enthusiastically owned. Dad would have been pleased.
